RabbitMQ is a message broker – an application that allows communication between applications by way of a message queuing system. In this talk, we’ll set up a RabbitMQ instance, take an intermediate-level look into the technical features it provides and also how you can apply RabbitMQ in your applications to scale them efficiently.
Meet James Titcumb
Since getting an Amiga 500 as a young boy, James has been fascinated with the world of programming and technology. He quickly embarked on a captivating adventure learning languages through time, from AmigaBASIC to C/C++. Then 11 years ago, he discovered his true calling – PHP. James is now a Zend Certified Engineer and Development Manager at Protected.co.uk working on ZF2 and legacy projects. He also founded and runs the PHP Hampshire user group, and is an active contributor to open source projects, for example the Browser Capabilities Project.
